DealMelt Invitational Rules
The tournament will follow USA Hockey Rules
DealMelt Specific Game Format:
- Games will be one 20-minute run clock period.
- All penalties result in a penalty shot: clock will stop, goalie save - defensive faceoff, player goal - center dot faceoff
- The last 2-minutes of regulation games, the clock will stop within 2 goals.
- If the game is tied at the end regulation: a one round shootout will take place, repeated until there is a winner.
- 6 goal mercy with-in the last 5 minutes.
- If the championship game ends in a tie: 5-minute 3V3 sudden death, followed by a 3 person shootout.
